Update 14:25 EST November 2 2006
Inter-domain email is now being routed with a higher priority than email originating from the internet. An improvement of local delivery time should be apparent for HostRocket email users who are sending email to other users within their domain.

Update 10:15 EST November 2 2006
We have removed UCEProtect blacklist checking from our MX servers. In addition to this change we have also started enforcing strict requirements on sender reverse DNS. If a mailserver that does not have reverse DNS attempts to send a message to a Hostrocket server it will be rejected.

Update 07:46 EST October 31 2006
We have implemented a way for our customers to change the intensity level of spam filtering on email. Along with being able to set the intensity of filtering conducted, our customers may specifically allow or deny .GIF image attachments.

Update 16:20 EST October 26 2006
SecurityFocus is reporting that SPAM email is up more than 450% within the past 2 months according to a recent study. The amount of emailed being filtered has tripled in the past 6 months. http://www.securityfocus.com/news/11420

Update 11:08 EST October 12 2006
In order to combat the recent increase in SPAM and increase the stability of our email system, we have added two additional MX servers and 7 new Spamassassin servers to our existing system. We went from receiving approximately 2 million messages per day (August 2006) to 5.7 million messages per day. We are using Clam Antivirus, Spamassassin, and several of the most reputable email blacklists to decrease the number of illegitimate messages that enter our network. By doing this we hope to improve the reliability of our existing system and provide better email service for our customers.
